We are a dynamic, welcoming church community with the dedicated mission of following Christ, serving in love, and engaging the world.
What to Expect
Our relatively small congregation (around 90 or so in Sunday worship each week) is composed of folks from all walks and stages of life. We have retirees, empty-nesters, singles, and young families. We have persons from diverse economic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. We have people who like to dress up (suits & ties, dresses & hats) and others who like to dress down (shorts & t-shirts, flip-flops & tattoos). Some are politically conservative, others are more liberal, and others couldn't care less. Our focus, however, is on celebrating what holds us together; our identity in Jesus Christ. As Paul wrote:
"For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:27-28)
While keeping a fairly traditional order of service, we sing both classic hymns as well as newer songs of praise. Our goal is to glorify God in Christ through worship in a way that is both joyful and reverent, engaging our hearts and minds as we are led by the Holy Spirit.
At Saint Andrew, we affirm the historic understanding of Christianity as contained in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We also affirm the essentials of the Reformed and Presbyterian expressions of faith as contained in the Confessions of the church.
